Highway Truck Training is a locally owned and operated RTO, specialising in Heavy Vehicle Truck Driver Training. All training is provided in our fleet of well-maintained vehicles offering students the best and most efficient way of gaining hands-on experience throughout their training. We offer convenient, flexible training 6 days a week. We are looking to employ an experienced, certified Heavy Vehicle Trainer/ Assessor to join our team on a casual, part-time or full-time basis. All training is conducted on-site on a one-on-one basis. As a trainer, your primary focus is to deliver high-quality training to all students, be comfortable in communicating, building, and maintaining relationships with students, clients and team members as well as providing and receiving feedback.
Desirable Selection Criteria :
• Unrestricted HR, HC or MC WA licence
• Certification as a Qualified Instructor with the Department of Transport (valid Blue Book)
• Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent desirable)
• At least 5 years of truck driving experience Duties and Responsibilities:
• Understanding and ability to train students in synchromesh, auto and road ranger gearboxes
• Train and evaluate student’s performance during the training block.
• If required, assist students in completing necessary assessments related to the course unit requirements.
• Complete practical assessments of all students as required by the RTO.
• Adhere to all RTO compliance requirements, policies, and procedures.
• Provide feedback and guidance to students to help them improve their driving abilities.
• Clear and effective communication skills
• Professionalism, reliable and punctual
