Our mission is to help more people to hear.The OpportunityAn exciting Opportunity has become available for a Manufacturing Trainer to join our Sydney Manufacturing team in Macquarie Park and Lane Cove. This role will be responsible for developing and delivering tailored training and conducting technical assessments within the production workforce, and help uplift the capabilities of the manufacturing team so that we can help more people around the world hear and be heard.Your responsibilities include:
- Planning, designing, organising and delivering one-to-one and group based learning to production employees (ie. core skills and manufacturing skills)
- Planning, organising and conducting skills assessments to assess both the Competency and Proficiency of production employees
- Training new production employees as part of the induction and onboarding program
- Updating, communicating and implementing the training plan
- Regularly observing production employees to ensure ongoing compliance to relevant work instructions and production documentation
- Providing input into the design of work instructions and relevant production documentation
- Assisting with the manufacturing of other key training initiatives such as the Cochlear Manufacturing System (CMS)
- Regularly review training and assessment effectiveness and improve / adjust as required to meet business needs
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or a commitment to complete the training as required for the role)
- Proven experience as an “on-the-job” trainer
- Ability to rapidly ingest and distil complex technical work instructions, and delivering them to an audience with diverse backgrounds
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior as well as junior team members
- Ability to plan, prioritise and organise work to agreed time lines
- Experience in PCB assembly, micro-electronics manufacturing environment is highly regarded
- Working knowledge of LEAN systems (preferred)
- Ability to work in both sites (Macquarie and Lane Cove) across early and late shifts (6am – 2pm or 2pm-10pm)
