We specialise in mining, earthmoving, civil infrastructure and training services, currently delivering on major projects throughout Metropolitan and Regional Australia.

We are currently searching for a Trainer/Assessor in General Construction and Roof Plumbing and to deliver this training. As a Trainer/Assessor, you will be responsible for responding to the existing training needs of Indigenous and Non-Indigenous clients located at our North Plympton operational site and throughout South Australia. This role will train and assess in both theory and practical components (live work projects), and the successful applicant will also be responsible for liaising with industry representatives and building the caseload of apprentices in these areas. 


The Role

This role will suit an experienced trades person with some previous training experience in general including Roof Plumbing. This position is based in North Plympton, South Australia on a full-time basis.

The Requirements

The ideal candidate for this position could be an experienced Trainer Assessor or experienced construction professional ready to come off the tools and into the classroom.  You will be able to fulfil the following:

  • Conduct training and assessment ensuring all Carey, Client and Legislative requirements are met, including compliance to relevant national and industry training standards.  
  • Ensure that training and assessment processes are being followed, files and records are maintained to company and legislative standards. 
  • Maintain an effective feedback system to ensure that accurate and timely information, regarding training results and issues are passed to management and staff. 
  • Work with clients to conduct frequent and regular training programs, to identify problems and arrange for remedial action to be taken. 
  • Vocational experience and currency to deliver training and assessment in General Construction with the ability to also deliver Roof Plumbing and recognised qualifications. 
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or TAE40116) preferred or working towards.
  • Experience delivering relevant and engaging training in a variety of workplaces and also in classrooms to a diverse range of students. 
  • Experience working within a Registered Training Organisation preferred.
  • Experience working with a range of cultures and difference environments. 
  • Able to travel to deliver training.  
  • Current driver's license. 
  • National Police Clearance – current or willing to obtain.
  • Working with Children Check – current or willing to obtain.
