Established in 1926, The Motor Trade Association SA/NT is recognised as the automotive skills and training provider of choice in the industry. We train over 1000 apprentices yearly in Light, Heavy, Electrical, Paint, Panel and Parts trades. About the Position:
We are looking for a qualified Automotive Light Vehicle Technician to join our team at Royal Park. You will train our apprentices from year one through to completion on site and in the field. You will have excellent relationship building skills, a passion to teach others and great computer skills. You must have excellent communication and organisational skills and an eye for detail. This is a very autonomous and rewarding role with a high degree of time management and organisation and you will work very closely alongside other trainers within Light Vehicle.
Position Responsibilities:
- Provide classroom and workshop training and complete assessments for apprentices in line with legislative requirements.
- Provide mentoring and support services to students.
- Visit employers and students on site to assess student progression.
- Develop and maintain relationships with employers.
- Prepare training equipment and resources as required.
- Maintain and report on all student records.
- Participate in public events and expos as required.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Trade qualified in Light Vehicle experience.
- Heavy Vehicle or auto electrical knowledge advantageous.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build strong rapport with our employers.
- Able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Display a high degree of professionalism and integrity.
- Able to manage diverse workloads and meet tight deadlines.
- Competent in Microsoft Office and able to learn new programs.
- A current drivers’ licence.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment highly regarded.
