PEER is a not-for-profit industry-based Group Training Organisation (GTO) and a Registered Training Organisation (RTO). The Training positions will be based at our Trade Training Centre in Albert Park.
PEER employs over 400 GTO Apprentices & provides trade school training to another 600 of the highest quality private apprentices. PEER also works closely with over 75 South Australian High Schools to deliver Cert II qualifications to 500 Yr 11 and 12 VET Students.
Due to our increasing enrolments we are looking for Trade Trainers & Assessors with backgrounds from the following:
Electrical
Data
Plumbing
Engineering
Construction
Responsibilities:
The key responsibility for these positions, is to deliver trade-based training and upskilling courses. Trainers & Assessors will provide training, guidance, mentoring and coaching to PEER students and apprentices and PEER industry based clients.
Other responsibilities include:
- Developing resources and continuous improvement of training material
- Developing and maintaining industry relationships and partnerships
- Achieving business unit KPI's, in line with PEER strategic objectives
- Delivering the highest level of customer service
- Contributing to the provision of a safe working environment
Skills and experience:
Required
- Current trade qualification
- Current industry licence /registration
- Demonstrated current vocational experience
- Working with Children & National Police Checks.
- Proven track record in inspiring, supporting, motivating people and fostering a positive, creative and rewarding culture.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and have experience working within a quality standards framework environment.
- Proof of Covid Vaccination
Desirable
- Cert IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or willing to undertake and complete in the required timeframe.
- Experience within the Vocation Education and Training (VET) industry.
- Working knowledge of LMS and training administrative systems
- Sound computer skills
