The Adelaide Education Group (AEG) is a multi-sectored and dynamic education consortium based in South Australia and delivers government accredited and non-award courses from Primary to Postgraduate levels for local and overseas students. AEG comprises the Adelaide International School (AIS), Adelaide Institute of Business and Technology (AIBT), Adelaide Institute of Higher Education (AIHE), and Adelaide Research Institute (ARI).
AIBT is looking for superstar Trainer/Assessor to join our Adelaide campus team and deliver Individual Support and Community Services courses to international students.
Classes are delivered in person, combined with practical skills teaching on campus and online learning.
We offer above award rates, matched to your experience and qualifications.
Immediate start available, with a roster of 5 full days per week (4 days Teaching Load and 1 day Facilitation). The role is casual.
Position requirements:
- Deliver training and assess students in the Certificate III in Individual Support and Diploma in Community Services qualifications.
- Monitor and support student progress.
- Foster and participate in a team environment, contributing to the effective delivery of quality Community Service courses to international students.
- Mentor and support your students by supplying them with quality education, assessment, feedback, and workplace facilitation.
The successful person will have:
- Energy, enthusiasm, and a dynamic approach to classroom performance
- Effective communication skills
- A solid understanding of training package requirements and the RTO Standards
- Experience in using Microsoft Teams and the Canvas learning management system (ideal – but we’ll train for this)
- Skills and experience using flexible teaching methodologies and the evaluation and assessment of student learning and progress.
- Proven experience working with diverse groups of students and colleagues (essential)
- Recent (within the last 2 years) experience working in a personal care for the aged and/or a Community Services role.
Minimum required qualifications are:
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, including TAE upgraded units or higher relevant qualification.
- CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support or its predecessor (This, or a higher qualification in this field, is essential to deliver the Certificate III)
- CHC52015 Diploma of Community Services or its predecessor (This, or a higher qualification in this field, is essential to deliver the Diploma)
The successful candidate will be required to hold a current a Working with Children Check (WWCC) with the South Australian Government.
