About the role
- Focused on maintaining a high standard of governance across all functions of compliance, and professional development training for the business.
- Supporting the goals and targets of the Health, Safety, Environment and Training function, as well as aligning with those of the overall business.
- Imperative to the success of the overall Apprenticeship program at SDIS; liaison between all key internal/external stakeholders.
- Working closely with the business to ensure training needs and skill gaps are identified, planned and completed in line with business and compliance priorities.
- Opportunities to develop content, both face to face and online
This role requires a highly motivated individual and the key responsibilities of the role include:
- Maintain and manage the apprenticeship program; including rotations, TAFE bookings, regular progress check in's, communication with apprentices and operational Leaders.
- Handle general apprentice and training enquiries and requests; managing stakeholder relationships; internal and external.
- Champion the values of our approach to Health, Safety and Environment across all aspects of the organisation.
- Provide leadership support to ensure training requirements are met, for compliance purposes, and professional development.
- Maintaining training and compliance records in our Learning Management System, assisting with effective reporting.
- Maintaining processes across multiple workstreams
- Identifying and reporting opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation.
About You:
The successful candidate will bring the following skills and experience to the role:
- Strong computer acumen
- Priority management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
- Previous experience in training and development, with a passion for continuous improvement and innovation
- Cert IV in training & Assessment desirable
- Collaborative, enjoys working with others to reach a common goal, and thrives in a team environment
- Current drivers licence and reliable transport
