Ascend Health is currently searching for a dedicated Training, Safety and Compliance Officer to bolster our team. Previous experience in the NDIS and healthcare sector would be advantageous for this role.
In this position, you will be pivotal in managing and executing policies and procedures to guarantee compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Your role will directly impact the Safety and well-being of those under our care, making a significant difference in their lives.
As a Training, Safety and Compliance Manager, you'll have the chance to devise and implement innovative solutions to prevent and handle incidents and hazards. Additionally, you'll collaborate with regulatory bodies, conduct safety inspections and audits, and deliver training on safety policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities:
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining policies and procedures to ensure compliance with NDIS regulations.
- Managing incident and hazard management reporting systems.
- Identifying potential hazards and recommending preventative measures.
- Developing and conducting training on safety policies and procedures.
- Ensuring compliance with staff training and managing training programs.
- Conducting regular safety inspections and audits.
- Preparing reports on Safety and Compliance performance.
- Liaising with relevant regulatory bodies as necessary.
Requirements:
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or similar equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience in training or safety or compliance roles, preferably within the NDIS and healthcare sector.
- Knowledge of relevant industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Passion for ensuring the Safety and well-being of individuals with disabilities.
