Our Transformation Assurance team sits in the Trust and Risk arm of our Assurance practice. The team works with clients to provide analysis, insights and recommendations to improve outcomes for major projects or programs.

We draw on our project and program management delivery experience to provide future-focused assurance in order to give staff, executives, board members, and other stakeholders confidence about the future of its business transformation.

As an experienced Manager in our Transformation Assurance Testing as a Service team team your impact will be seen by:

Leading the delivery of transformation projects and program reviews by:

Reviewing and analyzing critical project/program artifacts (including test strategies and plans, test status reports, risk reports, business requirements, and project plans) against better practice methodologies;

Identifying key risks to testing success of projects/programs

Leading client engagements, including fieldwork interviews and final presentations of key findings

Leading the delivery of testing on transformation projects and programs by:

Creating, maintaining and owning testing strategy and related documentation, in conjunction with relevant stakeholders.

Creating, maintaining and owning testing standards and practices.

Leads the testing function and oversees a team of testers across multiple projects.

Plans, coordinates and oversees all aspects of testing, including:

Data verification, feature testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), data migration testing, security and penetration testing, performance testing and end to end testing as required (noting not all projects will require all types of testing and some aspects will be outsourced).

Development of test cases, stories, scenarios, scripts, etc.

Execution of all testing phases.

Integration and alignment of test plans with system integrators, other projects, internal teams and other third parties as necessary.

Support the identification of test resources for each testing phase of each project.


Support the planning of testing and plays a part in coordinating the necessary testing environments for each project and each testing phase, in conjunction with relevant stakeholders.

Engaging in business development by identifying opportunities in the market to develop the Testing as a Service practice and help clients solve problems, including leading the development of future job proposals

About you


You have a passion for software testing, the value it can bring to organisations and are excited to help shape a new testing services practice.

You have appropriate tertiary and/or post-graduate qualifications in software engineering/computer science or an ISTQB Advanced Level Test Manager qualification and you have a high level of testing experience in complex ICT Projects.


You can demonstrate knowledge of best practice testing approaches within a Federal Government environment as well as planning and managing testing of multiple types of systems eg.

Cloud based SaaS systems/On premise hosted systems/ Hybrid cloud and on premise systems.


Experience in project or program assurance or portfolio management, particularly within the Federal or state government environment will be highly regarded .

You have an understanding of project management methodologies (preferably with an Agile, PMP, MSP, MoP, PRINCE2, PMBOK, or a similar certification), and feel comfortable leading project, program and portfolio reviews.

Please note this role is based in Canberra.
