Position: Transport Company Manager
Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: $75,000 plus superannuation per annum
Location: Kialla VIC 3631
Our client is seeking a full-time Transport Company Manager to join their team located in Kialla, Victoria.
Tasks required include:

• Check the day-to-day record of drivers/contractors and pay them accordingly by making sure, payroll runs smoothly and in a timely manner.
• Ensure proper storage and distribution of the freight.
• Coordinate time to time maintenance of vehicles.
• Maintain business records and implement transportation schedules.
• Organize the equipment and fuel for trucks and ensure that the trucks are in good Condition.
• Monitor and report on transportation costs.
• Plan and supervise the shipments from production to the end user.
• Organize the purchase of fuel for the trucks.
• Deal with clients as per their requirement of transporting goods and provides all the information and advice to the clients including charges as per delivery, fares and transit time.
• Handle complaints and obligations in a responsive manner and handle disputes if any.
• Book and receive orders to implement transportation strategy.
• Ensure proper packaging and timely delivery of the goods on time.
• Collect and arrange the delivery of goods to the client as per requirement.
• Track the position of transportation drivers and update customers.
• Pay insurance and register the vehicles on time.
• Maintain business records and prepare operational statements and reports.
• Coordinate activities associated with the arrival, departure, loading and unloading of Trucks.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
• Recruit personnel and supervise their training.

• Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in relevant field
• At least three (3) years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed
• At least five (5) years of relevant experience as a Transport Company Manager or similar.
