We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Transport Coordinator to join our Yatala Head Office team. The Transport Coordinator will play a crucial role in managing the logistics of transporting customers' vehicles and caravans between our repair sites, ensuring a seamless and efficient process from start to finish. About The Role:
- Coordinate the scheduling and routing of vehicle and caravan transportation between repair sites, considering factors such as location, vehicle type, and repair priorities.
- Communicate effectively with customers, insurance providers, and internal teams to gather necessary information, provide updates, and address any concerns or inquiries related to transportation logistics.
- Collaborate with repair technicians and site managers to prioritize transport needs based on repair timelines and workflow efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of transportation schedules, vehicle statuses, and customer communications using our internal systems and databases.
- Monitor transportation operations to ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Generate invoices for transportation services rendered, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in billing.
- Reconcile transportation invoices with service orders and payment receipts to ensure financial accuracy.
About you:
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, transportation management, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in transportation coordination, logistics management, or customer service roles within the automotive industry is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
- Proficiency in using transportation management software (My Trucking), GPS systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and safety standards related to vehicle transportation is desirable.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules, with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving.
