Project & Infrastructure Advisory – Strategic Transport Modelling

  • Work on private and public infrastructure projects in the transport space in conjunction with our infrastructure team

The Project & Infrastructure Advisory team are industry leaders in the planning and delivery of city and region shaping infrastructure projects and have expanded on our successful transport team based in Sydney with the launch of a national Strategic Transport Modelling service.
This team will work across the public and private sector in the transport space as well as with developers and precinct planners to understand forecasting requirements. With unprecedented expenditure in infrastructure, our team is growing and needs new and exciting people to participate.
Your New Opportunity
We are currently searching for all levels of staff to deliver important projects within the Strategic Transport Modelling space. You will have the opportunity to work across policy and strategy, planning, business case and program/project management engagements for a diverse range of infrastructure projects in across the country with specific needs in Queensland and NSW.
Specific skills will include:
  • Developing studies to assess current and future traffic patterns, travel behaviour, and system performance
  • Utilisation of advanced modelling software to simulate and analyse transportation and land use scenarios
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to integrate transportation models into broader urban planning efforts and economic analysis
  • Ability to develop and refine mathematical models to accurately represent complex transportation systems
  • Analysing and interpreting data to provide actionable insights for infrastructure improvements and policy recommendations
  • Preparation of reports and presentation of findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Working closely with engineering, planning, and environmental professionals to address transportation challenges and implement effective solutions.
General requirements include;
  • Managing the on-time and on-budget delivery of engagements including the preparation and management of project plans, cost models, schedule, risk/issue registers, reporting and invoicing
  • Undertaking business development activities including engaging with current and potential future clients and tracking potential engagement opportunities
  • Development and implementation of engagement pursuit strategies, preparation of proposals and managing tender processes
  • Sharing your awareness of the broader market environment and industry trends
  • Maintaining strong relationships with clients, project stakeholder, project partners and broader industry
  • Contributing to team planning, development and maintenance of a high performance culture, including coaching and mentoring supporting L&D initiatives
  • Any other project delivery and team management activities as required supporting the efficient management of the team.
What You'll Bring
You'll have ideally have tertiary qualifications in either mathematics, engineering, economics or other quantitative degrees. Additionally experience in the use of the various government models used in Queensland and NSW will be beneficial.
You will also bring with you:
  • Strong collaboration skills having worked across multi-disciplinary teams involved in the delivery of infrastructure planning studies, technical reports and/or business cases
  • Previous experience and exposure Strategic Transport Modelling for government and or the private sector
  • Well-developed report writing, Powerpoint and Excel skills
  • Effective engagement and stakeholder management skills in complex environments.
