Multiquip Poultry is a reputable player in delivering services within the Poultry Industry, dedicated to providing exceptional transportation solutions. Engaged in various aspects of live bird transportation, including moving feed and servicing live bird farms, we are actively expanding our team.
We are seeking a mechanically minded individual to take on the role of Supervisor based at our Two Wells, SA location. The Two Wells depot plays a crucial role in transporting stock feed from Pinkerton Plains Mill to farms within an 80km radius.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general yard responsibilities as needed.
- Supervise and manage daily transport operations at the depot, ensuring timely and efficient services.
- Lead a team of transport staff, providing guidance, training, and support to optimize performance.
- Oversee the scheduling and routing of transportation vehicles to meet delivery deadlines.
- Supervise daily transport operations at the depot with a strong focus on mechanical aspects.
- Monitor fleet maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs and servicing as required.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
- Foster a positive working environment, promoting teamwork and effective communication.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Hold an MC licence preferred, but HC licence accepted.
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within the transportation or logistics industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- In-depth knowledge of transport regulations, safety standards, and fleet management.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proficient in using relevant transportation management systems and technology.
