Q Co Transport are a local Transport and Logistics company providing haulage services across the region since 2005 with a modern fleet of trucks and machinery. We are seeking the services of a suitable qualified Truck Driver at our Cairns Depot to join our team on a full-time casual basis, with a view to permanent employment.
Qualifications & experience
- HR licence
- Must have previous experience as a Truck Driver
- Container movement experience preferred, but not essential as full training will be provided to the right candidate
- Good customer service and communication skills essential
- Ensure safety and compliance is adhered to at all times
- Solid understanding of Cairns area and surrounds. Must be local resident.
- Attention to detail and the ability to complete all required paperwork
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Forklift licence (desirable)
Tasks & responsibilities
- Loading and delivering shipping containers to customers
- Confident in loading & unloading
- General understanding of truck maintenance
- Completing daily pre-start checks on vehicles and equipment
- Liaising with customers and staff members
- Ability to maintain truck clean and tidy
