Position Summary: The Truck Driver plays a crucial role in our operations by assisting the Stores Supervisor in the efficient transportation of goods. Responsible for both picking up items from suppliers and delivering them to designated locations, the Truck Driver ensures timely and safe transport while upholding our commitment to excellence in risk management, safety, and customer service.
Personal Requirements:
Experience/Knowledge:
- Previous industry experience in a stores environment preferred.
- Possession of a Forklift Ticket.
- Valid C, MR-B, HR driving licence.

Key Responsibilities:
Primary Duties:
- Adhere to all Austin Engineering Ltd Policies and Procedures, including safety protocols and equipment maintenance.
- Collaborate with Stores Supervisor to ensure timely and high-quality task completion.
- Drive Austin’s flatbed truck to deliver and pick up goods.
- Maintain and care for all equipment used during transportation.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of sensitive consumable items.
- Pack and dispatch products according to instructions.
- Actively model company policies and practices.
- Utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Participate in safety meetings and maintain a tidy work area.
- Accurately record work hours and adhere to company policies.
- Represent Austin Engineering professionally and ethically.
- Take responsibility for personal and team safety.
- Perform job hazard analyses and address potential risks.
Qualifications:
- Valid driving license (C, MR-B, HR).
- Forklift Ticket.
- Previous stores environment experience preferred.
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance.
