We are seeking an experienced transport coordinator, who loves being hands on whilst managing a team of people, coordinating loads and communicating with key stakeholders to get the job done.
Let me explain the position to give you context of what to expect.
February to August (maybe a little longer) we are in full harvest mode, allocating skips bins to farms for the macadamia nuts being harvested, collecting the full bins of macadamia nuts and transporting to our sorting facilities and repeat. This position will also require the coordinator to roster staff, work with the farm managers to coordinate the bins and liaise with the sorting facilities to coordinate delivery of the loads.
August to January depending on the extra skills and experience you come with will depend on where you are placed outside the sort season. You may be required to assist with the coordination of the skip bin waste management, work in our workshop supporting that team or out in the orchards as an operator. Told you it was diverse!
Please Note: Our harvest season shifts involves days, nights and weekends so you have to be able to fulfil these shift requirements.
What you need to bring to the position
- Previous Transport Coordination/Management experience
- HR License as a minimum
- Demonstrated ability to develop and manage rosters to meet harvest needs
- Demonstrated experience working with multiple stakeholders to move product
- Ability to remain calm under pressure, enjoy being a problem solver and ability to think outside the square
- Strong and confident communication skills
- Ability to coach train and mentor other drivers
- Clean driving record and ability to pass drug and alcohol testing
