Form of workTruck Driver / Hooklift & Tipper Experience
We are a family owned and operated business located in Altona North and are currently seeking experienced Truck, Hooklift & Tipper Drivers to travel locally and/or around Melbourne on a full-time basis 5-6 days per week in a modern truck. We need drivers with a Rigid licenses & also Heavy Combination licenses.
Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Ensure that your obligations including mass, maintenance, speed, restraint & fatigue management are achieved
- Ensure all mobile plant pre-starts are completed
- Completion of all driver work sheets & reporting obligations
- Daily check lists are carried out & completed
- Report maintenance concerns immediately to the Workshop Manager to assist in preventative & breakdown maintenance requirements
- Drive and operate in a safe manner at all times
- Follow instructions from the Fleet Manager
- Report to the Fleet Manager immediately if instructions are unclear or the customers worksite appears unsafe
- Follow the company’s policy for breakdowns & product spill procedures
- Compliance with all company policies & procedures
- Ensure that your truck is kept clean and is maintained
To be a successful applicant you will require the following:
- Manual gearbox experience essential
- Truck, Hooklift & Tipper experience essential
- BFM accreditation preferred but not essential
- Proven experience & steady work history
- Excellent customer service
- Ability to provide services in a safe & timely manner
- Clean driving record
- Safety conscious
