Devlyn Construction is privately owned and has been established in Western Australia for over 33 years. We are a leading commercial contractor that specialises in delivering projects across a range of sectors in WA’s metropolitan and regional locations.
Due to continued growth and success, we currently have a unique position for an experienced and reliable Truck Driver / Store Person to join our Perth operations.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the Procurement Manager you will have varying responsibilities including:
- Multi drop truck driving (HR & MR Trucks).
- Overflow country deliveries (including some overnighters).
- Testing and tagging of electrical equipment.
- Inspection and recertification of Rope Access Equipment.
- Loading and unloading of materials and equipment.
- Maintaining all materials, plant, and equipment in a tidy accessible state in the store.
- Materials receipt and dispatch.
- Ensure all required equipment is calibrated and fit for use.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Picking and packing project materials.
- Monitor PPE, tools and equipment and advise when equipment is required.
- General yard maintenance associated with housekeeping and stores.
- Ensure workplace health and safety compliance.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful with Delvyn, the ideal candidate will have:
- A positive, can-do attitude.
- The ability to prioritise workload and problem solve.
- Ability to do basic computer duties.
- Prepared to take ownership of the electrical and fire test and tag function and ladder inspections.
- Prepared to do training as required.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and autonomously.
- Present a friendly and professional image for the company.
- Must be courteous and reliable.
- Police clearance.
- Ability to pass a medical.
- A sound knowledge of the greater Perth area.
- A minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role.
- An understanding of safe manual handling techniques.
- A current Heavy Rigid Truck License & Forklift Licence.
- Working knowledge of the building industry is advantageous.
- The position will require the person to be flexible with overtime as required.
