We’re looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Truck Driver / Yard Hand. Having a good knowledge of the Gippsland Region you’ll deliver Tractors, Farm Machinery and equipment to our customers, and pick-up from our suppliers. Holding a minimum of a Heavy Combination truck licence, and the ability to restrain large machinery. You’ll be known for taking an efficient but cautious approach to driving vehicles and operating equipment and will have a reputation for treating all machinery and equipment like it’s your own. You will want to grow with the business and have a positive can-do attitude.
Key responsibilities include:
- Load and unload deliveries from truck and complete relevant documentation;
- Ensure customer expectations are met;
- Work collaboratively with logistic teams;
- Report hazards and/or incidents in timely manner to mitigate further risks; and
- Ensure delivery truck is maintained to satisfactory condition.
- Have the ability to safely restrain and operate large machinery
- Organising and moving agricultural machinery onsite
- General yard duties as required
- Maintaining yard and dealership general tidiness
- Assist with the assembly of basic equipment and machinery
- Pressure cleaning tractors and machinery in preparation for sale
Who are you?
- You have a Heavy Combination truck licence and a forklift licence;
- Experience in restraining large machinery;
- 1-2 years’ experience driving heavy-combination trucks;
- Ability to engage with farming customers from diverse backgrounds;
- You’re responsive to farmer expectations and/or requests;
- Present in a courteous, reliable and professional manner with a customer-first mentality;
- Willing to work in a team environment and without supervision.
