AddressA position now exists for a truck driver to commence work with our client, a cropping contractor located in southern Queensland but with work commencing at Condobolin, New South Wales. Currently, cotton picking is kicking off in the Central Western region and a Truck Driver is required to operate our client’s Western Star 4800 or Freightliner Argosy, both pulling 45ft flat tops.
Work will consist of carting cotton bales out of the paddock to the gin and will be approximately a 300 kilometre round trip each time. An MC licence is essential and must be produced by any short-listed candidate with an online driving history to be produced on request of our client.
The hourly rate is to be discussed with our client upon interview. Hours will depend on the gin operating times however could be 7am to 6pm and work will be required 6 days per week. The successful candidate will sleep in the truck and ultimately be a self-sufficient driver.
