About the opportunity
C3 Australia are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Truck mechanic to join our growing Burnie operation, playing a key role in the operation you will be responsible for maintaining our truck and trailer fleet.
About the Position
C3 Australia are the trusted name in sustainable forestry operations throughout the Australia specialising in harvesting, infield chipping, cut to length logging and haulage. With continued growth in both the Burnie region and across Australia we are currently seeking an experienced Truck Mechanic for our Burnie based operations. Providing workshop and field support to our haulage truck and trailer fleet you will be responsible with maintaining all heavy road transport vehicles from preventive maintenance to break downs.
- Provide workshop mechanical support and service to our heavy road transport fleet including a heavy focus on trailers
- Provide preventive maintenance to trucks, heavy road transport vehicles and trailers
- Provide break down support to all trucks, heavy road transport vehicles and trailers
- Ensure any further maintenance or additional work required is communicated to management
- Maintain service and maintenance data
- Maintain stock and parts requirements for haulage assets
- Complete all work in accordance with all C3 policies and procedures
- Work with external suppliers and service providers
About your experience
- Trade qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic
- Experience in other related heavy industry, mining, agriculture etc
- Experience in truck and trailer maintenance
- Experience in diagnostics and fault finding
- Experience in CMMS (Maximo preferred)
- Able to maintain a clean and tidy workshop and work area
- Able to work in a team environment
- Strong communication skills
- Strong focus on safety
- Able to pass a Pre-employment and commercial drivers medical including a drug and alcohol screen
- Willingness to learn and build a career in the forestry industry
- Available to work 12-hour shifts (as required)
