Truck & Plant Mechanic

Earthcare Recycling is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic and workshop allrounder with a motivated, can-do attitude to join our existing loyal and skilled maintenance crew based at the Middle Swan depot.
We strive to repair and maintain as much of our equipment in-house and have our long-standing suppliers as support when required.
To help us achieve this we require an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to bring additional trade skills & industry experience into our business. The successful applicant will play a key role in assisting with our continued fleet reliability.About Earthcare Recycling :
Earthcare Recycling provides volume home builders with an environmentally focused at-source separation system.
Developed to change how waste is managed, the system enables quality builders to recycle over 95% of material collected from sites.
We are focused on sustainability with bespoke industry practice, providing the industry with positive environmental waste management solutions and successfully diverting excess and discarded building materials away from landfills for reuse, repurposing, and recycling.
Our large variety of assets includes built-for-purpose trucks, tippers, trailers, skid steers (bobcats), articulated forklifts, crushing, screening plant and equipment, loaders, excavators, generators, and LVs.About the Role:
The primary duties include:

• Repair and replace components and diagnostics to all company vehicles.
• Servicing vehicles and assisting with repairs and maintenance to our varied and extensive fleet.
• Accurate completion of all documentation associated with fleet maintenance and repairs.
• Experience working on 6-wheel tippers or heavy vehicle trailers is highly valued.
• Attending to breakdowns when required during working hours occasionally thru-out the metro area.

About the Requirements:
The candidate we are looking for will have:
Trade qualification certificate in heavy commercial vehicle mechanics, or a related diesel mechanics field. Minimum 4 years experience in the Heavy Diesel industry

• Proven competence in repairs and maintenance.
• Effective diagnostic skills on UD, Hino, Isuzu, Detroit, BPW, York •

Own basic tools,(tool allowance paid) (specialist tools are provided) •
Basic computer skills

• Automotive Air conditioning (favourable) •

Auto Electrics
Diagnosis experience with truck and earthmoving equipment

• Basic welding and fabrication skills

Motivated, reliable, and have a good work ethic
Available for 10 am start favourable.
