About the Role:
The position will see you responsible to developing a schedule of works prior to the Turnaround window using Primavera. You will then generate daily reports to monitor the progress to ensure a successful execution of the Turnaround.
- Generate and run the Primavera plan for the Turnaround execution phase in accordance with Refinery Planning and Scheduling document. The plan is to include all decommissioning work (process shutting down), turnaround window work, pre commissioning work and commissioning (process start up) work.
- Develop a Pre Turnaround and mobilisation plan to ensure that both project and client milestones are met in the preparation of the Turnaround. This is to be updated weekly – reports to the Turnaround Coordinator, Turnaround Manager and Turnaround Operations Manager.
- Generate subcontract work scopes for tendering purposes and assist with the review of tender data. Ensure all reviewed/approved subcontractor plans are included in the schedule
- Determine the expected duration of the Turnaround – based on the expected critical paths
- Assist in the development of detailed cost estimates and reconciliation. Validate work steps and durations with team members and subcontractors.
- Participate in schedule optimisation reviews of critical and major works. Perform critical and near critical path analysis.
- Ensure all Project work has been reviewed and approved prior to entering into the schedule
- Resource-level the plan and produce reports of all labour requirements for UGL, Refinery and subcontractor management.
- Assist with the development and control of the Turnaround job list.
- Produce daily progress reports per client and UGL requirements, including S Curves, Critical Job Summaries and manning requirements.
- Enter and integrate all approved variation and discovery work scopes into the Primavera plan for the turnaround execution phase and communicate to all parties.
- Provide the Turnaround Cost Controller with daily progress by WBS
- Attend daily progress review and prioritisation meetings, giving advice where required
- Identify improvements and strategies for improvement.
Education/Qualification:
- Minimum completion of relevant Trade Certificate
- Engineering tertiary qualification an advantage
- Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role
- Well developed skills in Primavera software (P6), SAP and MS Office software.
- AS 9001 quality systems knowledge is well regarded
- Technical problem solving
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail with accurate data entry skills
- Ability to prioritise, plan, organise and complete work within established deadlines
- Ability to work effectively within a busy team environment and also work unsupervised
