Two Senior Java Application Developers

Location of work: ACT

Length of contract: Up to 30 June 2025, plus 2 x 12 month extensions

Security clearance: Must have Negative Vetting Level 1 security clearance and obtain an Employment Suitability Clearance prior to commencement

Essential Skills and Experiences:

1. Minimum 5+ years’ experience working with JavaScript technologies such as:

   • React;
   • CSS, Less CSS & HTML;
   • JavaScript ES6;
   • NPM;
   • Typescript;
   • Webpack;
2. Demonstrated experience in: - Springboot; - Spring Security; - Spring Data JPA; - Web Services (SOAP and RESTful);
3. Demonstrated experience in Azure Pipeline and related Azure technologies;
4. Demonstrated experience in GIT and Node.js;
5. Advanced working knowledge of SQL; Database knowledge on Oracle, SQL Server & Teradata;
6. Ability to produce technical documentation that provides accurate information on technical implementations – such as knowledge based articles or how-to guides;

Desirable Skills and Experiences:

1. Excellent team-player who can work under pressure and collaboratively to achieve successful outcomes
2. Experience in common delivery methodology such as Agile, Hybrid (Agile + Waterfall), & Waterfall;
3. Experience in designing service that are required to meet the Australian Government’s Digital Service Standard;
4. Experience working with an Australian Government Agency, and therefore understands Government ICT policies and procedures relating to software & systems configuration, development and maintenance;
