The opportunity:We are seeking a Tyre Fitter who loves a hands-on approach to work. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the fleet team with removing and refitting tyres from rims in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications and the roadworthiness standards. Although industry experience is preferred, we offer on-the-job training to get you up to speed with all the technical aspects of the role.
What you can expect:- Removing and refitting tyres from rims and inspecting for damage
- Checking and adjusting vehicle tyres and wheels using electronic equipment (e.g. tyre pressure and wheel alignment, balancing and rotation etc.)
- Performing tyre diagnostics and repairs and fitting new tyres
- Picking up and delivering parts to the 8 Kinetic sites across Melbourne as required for efficient running of their fleet operation
- Using a forklift to load/unload at the various sites
- Ensuring work areas and tools are kept tidy and in good working order
- Assist with ad hoc warehouse duties as required
- Experience in a similar role within warehousing, distribution, or logistics industry
- Hold a Medium Rigid (MR) licence or higher
- Hold a forklift licence (preferred but not mandatory)
- Physically fit and able to lift and move heavy packages and objects
- Ability to follow procedures and complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Take pride in workmanship and have strong attention to detail
- Base rate of $35 per hour with overtime penalties to increase your earning potential
