We are currently have a vacancy for a Tyre Fitter to join the Maintenance Team at Premier Coal on a 4 on 4 off roster.

Working a 4 days on, 4 days off, 12 hour shift roster. This role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and you will be part of a supportive and motivated team.

The role will require you to:

• Carry out heavy vehicle(HV) and light vehicle (LV) tyre fitting duties.
• Maintain compliance with all procedures and manufacturer's instructions relating to the service and repair of plant and equipment on Premier Coal mine site.
• Update SAP work orders as jobs are completed
• Update Otracom with rim and tyre data to track and manage components for compliance and the the driving of accurate scheduling of change outs / re certifications.
• Prepare and/or order parts where required.
• Ensure all tooling if fit for purpose.
• Instruct and mentor less experienced members in how to care for plant and equipment.
• Provide maintenance support, advise and assistance to other stakeholders as required to ensure all maintenance requirements have been met on schedule

Essential Criteria:

• Certificate II in Automotive Tyre Servicing Technology of equivalent
• Minimum 12 months experience working as a Tyre Fitter working on heavy mining equipment
• Previous experience in the mining industry
• Current WA 'C" class drivers licence
• A sound understanding of risk awareness, hazard identification and a strong commitment to safety, performance and suitable practices.
• The ability to exercise initiative and work both independently and as part of a team.

Desirable Criteria:

• Experience with open cut mining operations
• Experience with business improvement processes
