- Fortescue's Christmas Creek mine is located on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people.
- Roster: 7D7N7R - FIFO ex Perth or Busselton
The role requires successful applicant to work on a wide variety of HME equipment, Light Trucks, Passenger Vehicles and miscellaneous ancillary equipment
Key Responsibilities
- All aspects of tyre maintenance on heavy mobile equipment and light vehicles
- Carrying out routine maintenance and inspections to the required standard of performance and safety
- Work in accordance with Fortescue procedures and work instructions
- Absolute commitment to safety and following site safety procedures.
- Willingness to learn and be part of a team
- Perform equipment checks and calibrations according to procedures
- Fit and remove wheels from any type of vehicle according to procedures
- Mount and strip any type of tyre and rim assembly according to procedures
- Perform repairs to tyres and tubes according to procedures
- Operate forklifts and tyre handlers according to procedures
- Maintain tyre operating pressures in accordance with site specifications
- Accurately record tyre change or other information and file or forward the information as required
- Certificate II in Automotive Tyre Servicing Technology (AUR2190) or equivalent - OTR essential
- LF (Forklift) High Risk Work Licence - Current
- HR Driver's licence - Current
- Previous Tyre Fitting experience, preferably in a mining environment
- Preferred experience on Komatsu 930e, CAT 793F, Terex MT4400, CAT 994/993
- Technical Knowledge of tyres - Preferred but not essential
- Computer literacy
- Good communication skills
- Decision making, problem solving and conflict resolution
- Working effectively within a team environment
- Identifying areas of potential cost reduction
