P.G. Contracting p/l is a specialist provider of electrical maintenance and communication solutions to the Mining, Resources & Infrastructure industries in the underground coal. - At this time, we will only consider applications from Australian citizens and those presently residing in Queensland. Although we preferably require the services of an experienced underground coal electrician, we will strongly consider applicants from a maintenance environment, preferably within the oil & gas industry, however, other maintenance and workshop electricians with EEHA experience are encouraged to apply.
- Applicants must be able to undertake coal board medical and drug & alcohol testing.
You will be skilled in the following areas:
- Ability to deliver a high quality, consistent and competent electrical technician service in accordance with both PG Contracting and mine site requirements, standards, and procedures.
- Constantly ensuring that all work scope is completed in a safe manner ensuring no detrimental impact to personnel, equipment or environment
- Thorough experience working within a maintenance environment
- Effective fault finding and problem solving skills
- Great communication skills.
Electrician
- Carry out the commissioning and installation and maintenance of total Gas Monitoring systems for all underground mine operations.
- Provide technical input into the Maintenance and Engineering department.
- Develop effective working relationships with our stakeholders including Process coordinators to implement plans, continual monitoring of operating systems and complete work activities in accordance with the mine operating system.
- Ensuring performance against the plan and assist the maintenance and engineering team to identify the risks of delivering the plan.
- Personal commitment to the quality of maintenance delivered to achieve the site requirements for production and safety performance.
We are seeking applications with the following skills and experience:
- Electrical Trade Certificate / QLD Electrical Licence
- LVR/CPR Certificate
- HV switching Certificate
- Valid Driver’s Licence.
- Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas (EEHA) Certificate (or understanding of)
- Surface infrastructure Electricians also required
Ideally the applicant will have the following
- Standard 11 Statement of Attainment;
- Current Section 4 Health Assessment Report;
- Demonstrated Underground Coal experience.
- Signed copies of training transcripts and / or authorisations.
