Ug Mine Engineer

Established operator looking to add quality Engineering resources to its team in NSW

The Company

The Role
This position will be reporting to the Senior Mine Engineer. Accountable for maintaining mine plans and schedules to ensure production goals are achieved or exceeded in a cost-effective manner.
Essential Duties

• Promote innovation and continuous improvement in safety by reviewing existing engineering designs and implementing new designs.
• Develop plans and designs for regulatory compliance and compliance to Company policies, procedures and standards.
• Promote and adhere to Company safety policies.
• Become proficient with monthly cadence of mine scheduling tasks.
• Schedule and review mine planning and mine design to increase value to operation.
• Optimise production and minimise dilution through mine designs and production scheduling.
• Complete stope reconciliations to verify quality and identify opportunities for improvement.

The Candidate

• A Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering or equivalent engineering degree.
• 3-6 years of UG Mine Engineering experience.
• Strong Deswik Skills – (CAD, IS and Scheduler)
• Have strong communication and people skills.
