The Role
Are you looking to apply what you are learning at uni to real clients?
An excellent opportunity for a student still in university in 2nd or 3rd year willing to learn all aspects of tax accounting in a friendly, co-operative environment while being mentored by a qualified accountant. Dependent upon the ideal applicant’s availability and business needs, the role is envisaged to start at 2 days a week.
We are a growing business and are looking for the right person to help us on our journey.
Some of the main tasks will be:
- Preparation of Individual Tax Returns
- Client Accounting, including payroll
- Preparation of Activity Statements (GST/PAYGW/PAYGI).
- Assisting in relation to clients' Bookkeeping software – Xero, MYOB or Quickbooks.
- Assisting Accountants with the preparation of business financial statements and tax returns.
- Client Support including Phone Calls, Emails & Coordinate Documents.
- Correspondence with the Australian Taxation Office, ASIC & Government Agencies
About You
To be considered for the role, you must have:
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Strong Excel and Word skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to demonstrate initiative.
- Passion for technology.
- Sound organisational and time management skills.
- Currently studying a Commerce/Business degree.
- Must have unrestricted work rights in Australia.
