Concord Centre for Mental Health is committed to improving mental health for people and our communities by providing quality mental health services in partnership with consumers, families and service providers by providing quality healthcare, delivery of safe appropriate care, ensuring access to services, supporting our workforce, and working closely with the local community to manage the changing demand for services.
About the role
Assistants in Nursing will be responsible for providing direct mental health nursing care to consumers within the Mental Health Service under the supervision and direction of the Nurse Unit Manager.
We are looking for someone who…
Has completed and passed the mental health component of the program and demonstrate a satisfactory academic record.
Can be available for two weeks from Monday 28 November 2022 to undertake Mental Health specific education, training and orientation.
Has a minimum of 12 months remaining in their undergraduate nursing programme.
Has availability to work a rotating roster with a minimum of 2 – 3 shifts a fortnight (exceptions when undertaking clinical placements).
Can be available to work across two SLHD Mental Health inpatient facilities which are; the Concord Centre for Mental Health based at the Concord Repatriation General Hospital Concord or the Professor Marie Bashir Centre based at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital Camperdown.

About working for SLHD
This is a Category A position. To be employed by NSW Health you are required to provide evidence of vaccination to comply with the NSW Health Occupational Assessment, Screening & Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases Policy (PD2022_030)
