Undergraduate Civil Project Engineer

Moec is seeking an Undergraduate Civil Project Engineeron a casual basis (i.e. minimum 2 days per week) with an interest in developing a career within a reputable construction business. You will gain experience in Gas Gathering, Piping, or Buried Services whilst working with our HDPE Gas Gathering Project teams across various projects in the Surat Basin. 

Moec Water and Energy provides pipeline construction and gas-gathering services to our CSG clients. This includes Civil, Welding, Live Excavations, Tie-ins, Testing, and Commissioning. 

The work is based in Rocklea QLD but will include site visits as required to Roma, Chinchilla, Blackwater, and various other sites across QLD.  

Pay and Opportunity for growth is best in the industry with a smaller growing business. Growth path to PM, OM, GM. 

Your responsibilities will include but aren’t limited to:

• Provide support to a variety of engineering services at an expected level of competence relevant to your level of study.
• Carry out work as instructed and supervised via engineering investigations, including preparation of plans, estimates, and reports and making necessary recommendations.
• Demonstrate quality, traits, and attributes that contribute to effectively relating to and identifying with peers and superiors.
• Initiate and encourage action that meets or exceeds client expectations
• Participate in learning opportunities as required to maintain and improve key skills and knowledge areas. 

About you

• In your third or penultimate year of undergraduate study in Civil Engineering at an Australian university
• Well-developed interpersonal and written communication skills
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to effectively manage your time and workload
• A developed knowledge of analytical methods, tools, and principles
