The Opportunity

As our Mining Engineer, you will form an integral part of the Technical Services team. Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Maintaining the highest level of safety and operational standards, while producing forecasts that accurately predict the mine's short and medium term operational performance;
  
• Utilising the technical knowledge and practical applications of Mining Engineering techniques to assist the Technical Services and Mining departments on engineering aspects of the mine, including Underground project management;
  
• Working consistently with the Management Operating System; and
  
• Providing input into the Weekly and Monthly reconciliation of mine production.
  

About You

• 2+ Years of experience in Underground Coal Mining or similar environment
  
• Ability to apply and develop mine planning, scheduling, and major hazard management processes in Underground Coal Mining Experience managing and interpreting operational data using spreadsheets and ERP software (ie Pulse) Exposure to mine scheduling software, preferably XPAC
  
• Current holder or desire to obtain Statutory tickets such as Mine Deputy, Undermanager or Ventilation Officer
