Due to operational growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced Driller Fitter to join the team at MICO, Mt Isa QLD! Being a full-time position, this opportunity is a FIFO, DIDO or residential position and ready for an immediate start.
The Opportunity
We are currently looking for an experienced underground Drill Fitter to join our team at Blackrock Mine, Mt Isa QLD. Working autonomously as well as part of a team and ensuring a high quality of work, you will gain and expand your experience and knowledge of underground mining.
This position will see you working a 14 on, 14 off roster in a full-time, permanent position, and can be Residential to Mt Isa QLD, FIFO from Brisbane, Townsville or Cairns or DIDO.
In order to be considered for this position you will need to be able to demonstrate current or previous underground mining experience.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Trade Qualifications (Essential) – Diesel Fitter
- Previous mining or UG mining experience
- Experience with CAT, Sandvik and Volvo equipment will be an advantage
- Maintenance and service experience
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- A positive can-do attitude with the ability to work as part of a team
- A strong focus on safety
- Hold a current Australian Drivers License
- Hold or be willing to obtain a current National Police Clearance.
