AddressThe underground maintenance team at Granny Smith Gold Mine have an opportunity for an Electrical Coordinator to join Mining Maintenance team.
Role Details:
Reporting to the Superintendent: Maintenance you will be responsible for the coordination & compliance of electrical & dewatering maintenance work to all underground mine fixed infrastructure to meet current and anticipated demand in accordance with Gold Fields standards whilst maintaining strict compliance with relevant legislative and statutory requirements.

This role is offered on 8 days on, 6 days off roster and is Fly in Fly out from Perth or Drive in Drive out from the Goldfields region.

About the role:
- Manage the day to day activities of the fixed plant electrical & dewatering mechanical team inclusive of contractors in a safe and cost-effective manner
- Assist the company to achieve production targets through the completion of electrical &Fixed infrastructure projects.
- Interpret plans, drawings, schedules and systematically coordinate allotted resources to achieve planned outcomes
- Ensure optimal use of resources by leading the daily planning, scheduling, and allocation of electrical & dewatering related tasks through the effective communication and consultation with electrical & dewatering team leaders
- Demonstrate sound financial acumen by ensuring cost performance is aligned with maintenance budgets and forecast expectations
- Ensure organisational capability and a quality orientation by the utilisation of relevant reports using SAP /AMT or like monitor reliability and cost effectiveness of all related assets
About you:
- Recognised A grade electrical workers Licence, in house nominee, HV appointed and hazardous area qualifications would be desirable
- Possess a HV Switching Certification
- Extensive demonstrated experience in a similar role with knowledge of mechanical principals, underground HV infrastructure and services including surface and underground dewatering systems, primary fans, paste and batching plants.
- Valid driver's license
- Must have experience with PLC, VSD, SCADA, Telemetry, and networking systems.
- Previously Held the statutory electrical supervisor position in an underground mine
- Experience in managing contractor installations
- Experience in statutory electrical audits and working knowledge of applicable Australian Standards
