Roles Available 

• Experienced Underground Service Locator

Tasks & responsibilities

• Must have DBYD certified locator ticket
• Experience in the operation of Service locating equipment
• Interpreting BYDA plans and locating underground assets before works commence
• Completing Pre-Start forms
• Maintenance of site vehicles and plant to ensure they are kept clean and in safe working order
• Reporting day to day productivity

How you will connect to the role:

• Experience operating radio detection Service Locators and GPR units
• Identify, locate and protect Underground Services 
• Sound understanding of service plans (BYDA)
• Experience in reading and writing Mud Maps
• Valid Australian Drivers licence
• Complete relevant documentation such as daily job sheets, pre-starts, SWMS, incident reports and inductions.
• Provide input and share knowledge for the safe execution of works.
• Perform work on sites of varying conditions and physical demands.
• Work and operate equipment safely, lawfully and in accordance with Dig Safe Geelong policy at all times.
• Ensure equipment is clean and presentable at all times.
• Maintain a positive, cooperative and professional approach to your work, colleagues and clients at all times.

Qualifications & experience

• You will need to have valid driver's licence.
• Heavy rigid truck licence 
• White / red construction industry induction card.
• Excellent communication and problem solving skills, sound mechanical and diagnostic aptitude, an appreciation for cleanliness and maintenance of equipment, and a genuine team player are a must.
