Our Client:
One of Australia's leading coal producers with a large presence of tier 1 coal mine assets across QLD, NSW and WA. This role will see you working as an Undermanager at Australia's largest thermal coal producers with both underground and open cut operations. With large scale investment, this organisation owns, operates and participates in some of the largest coal mining projects across the nation.
The opportunity
Due to ongoing growth in site operations, this is an opportunity for Undermanagers to join a high performing underground operations team. Drawing on your leadership experience you will drive a culture of safety, continuous improvement, efficiency and collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all underground activities are compliant with management plans & systems
- Lead Toolbox talks with underground team
- Allocate deputies to ensure compliance with relevant WHS acts and regulations.
- Lead start of shift meetings with Deputies, crew leaders, control room operators and other underground operators
- Lead quality control, ensuring works are completed in line with standards set for different areas of mine
- Facilitate Debrief meetings, along with detailed shift reports
- Read and sign relevant statutory production reports.
You'll need to demonstrate the following:
- Significant Underground, longwall mining experience
- Diploma Underground Coal Mine Management & Undermanagers certificate of competency
- A strong sense of safety culture, and ability to drive this on site
- Experience leading teams of underground staff
- Proven ability to meet and exceed production targets.
