In this exciting period of growth, we have an exciting opportunity at Coal Operations to join our Underground team as an Undermanager. Working with a dynamic team, you will be a strong leader who has the ability to drive the correct safety culture whilst maintaining a strong focus on continuous improvement, problem solving and high standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Audit areas of the mine to maintain compliance with Management Plans & Systems
- Respond to Trigger Action response Plans (TARPs)
- Conduct Start of Shift Meetings with Deputies, Crew Leaders & Control room operators
- Conduct Debriefing Meetings with Deputies, Crew Leaders & Control room operators
- Conduct Start of Shift Toolbox talks with Employees
- Complete a detailed Shift Report
- Read & sign all statutory & deputies production reports for your shift
Skills and Experience:
- Experience working in a similar position in an underground coal environment
- Significant people leadership experience
- Ability to promote a positive safety culture within the mine
- Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability to meet production targets.
- Current standard 11 (underground)
- Current Coal board medical
