The role
We have a rare opportunity for an Underwriter to join our Aviation business in Brisbane or Melbourne. As an Underwriter you will underwrite business in accordance with the business plan and to act as a business partner with assigned intermediaries and direct clients.
How will I help?
A day in the role may look a bit like this…..
Underwrite aviation risks in accordance with defined limits of authority, organisational policy and underwriting standards
Achieve underwriting results and profitable growth through new business and renewals, in accordance with plan/budget
Maintain and develop relationships with intermediaries, direct clients and aviation industry bodies
Represent QBE at client and aviation industry functions
Provide technical and specialist product expertise
Maintain in-depth knowledge of aviation risk factors, legislation and regulations
What do I need?
To be successful you will come from either an Aviation Insurance background or will have a solid working knowledge of the Aviation industry. You will also have…
Experience within insurance, relationship management or similar
General aviation market knowledge is essential
Reporting & analytical abilities including use of Microsoft Excel
Presentation & facilitation skills including use of Microsoft Word and Power Point
Strong communication skills and a team focus
Relevant tertiary qualifications or industry experience
