About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Underwriter FinPro with strong technical skills and interpersonal skills to join the FinPro Underwriting team, as professional indemnity underwriter.You will contribute to delivering the profitable growth ambition of our FinPro book as well as actively supporting our overall growth ambition in ANZ.The key responsibilities span across hands-on underwriting in the market, seeking business opportunities and building up pipelines, adding value to UW strategy development, driving execution with a customer-centric focus!You will develop and lead client relationships (brokers and corporates) and underwriting FinPro risks according to Corporate Solutions appetite and philosophy.About the TeamWe are an experienced team of underwriters across Casualty and FinPro looking after the Australia & New Zealand portfolio. We consider ourselves a dynamic team with lots of energy. While we work closely together with one another and our colleagues from other functions, the team embraces the flexibility that Swiss Re provides when it comes to the way we work. This position is based in Australia, but as part of a global team you will also liaise on a regular basis with colleagues across Asia and the world.About You
  • Minimum of 5 years insurance experience.
  • Strong experience in underwriting professional indemnity risks.
  • A reasonable level of underwriting acumen with a good knowledge of risk exposures, wordings and pricing adequacy, including numerical analysis.
  • Client centric attitude with strong marketing skills; and
  • Knowledge of and strong local relationships with both international and local brokers in the professional indemnity market.
  • Strong team focus and collaborative attitude; and
  • Ability to work across different functions, levels and location within the organisation.
