The Role
Reporting to the Aquatic Operations Manager, the Swim School Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of all Swim School programs including Learn to Swim, Stroke Development, Squads, School Programs and Birthday Parties. The Swim School Coordinator will be required to draw on their knowledge and experience in all aspects of aquatic education and business development to drive the growth and ongoing success of the Swim School. This full time position is situated at UniActive on the main UOW campus and entails supervisory responsibilities for Swim School employees.

Job Requirements
- Demonstrated experience as both an instructor and in a coordinator / supervisory capacity within an established Swim School of similar size and scope
- Demonstrated experience managing, mentoring and/or developing staff in an operational setting
- Demonstrated commercial acumen and ability to think strategically in developing and optimising business outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience interacting with people from a wide variety of cultural backgrounds.
- Outstanding customer service skills
- High level customer service skills
- Experience using Word, Excel and POS (point of sale) systems
- Current ‘Apply First Aid’ and ‘Advanced Resuscitation’ accreditations
- Current Austswim Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety or equivalent
- Hold and current and valid Working with Children Check
- Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to develop positive relationships with students, members, and participants
