Duties and Responsibilities:
- Personalized Care: Provide hands-on assistance with activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting according to individual resident needs and preferences.
2. Mobility Support: Assist residents with mobility aids and exercises to maintain or improve their mobility and independence.
- Medication Assistance: Administer medications under the direction of a registered nurse, ensuring accurate dosage and adherence to medication schedules.
- Emotional Support: Foster a supportive and empathetic environment by engaging in meaningful conversations, actively listening to residents, and offering emotional support and companionship.
- Daily Living Support: Help residents with meal preparation, feeding, hydration, and other activities essential for maintaining their health and well-being.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of care provided, including observations of residents' physical and emotional status, changes in condition, and any incidents or concerns.
7. Safety and Hygiene: Adhere to infection control protocols, maintain a clean and hygienic environment, and follow safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Disability Care, or Individual Support (preferred).
- Demonstrated experience or willingness to learn and develop skills in providing Personal Care to elderly individuals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
