We are seeking a User Experience Manager in Canberra to lead UX research efforts, advocating for user needs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver intuitive and engaging digital experiences.
Responsibilities
- Establish the organisation's UX research approach, working closely with the Digital team to understand requirements and user needs.
- Use human centred design to develop innovative and user-centric solutions that meet business objectives and enhance the overall User Experience.
- Conduct user research, including user interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gain insights into user behaviours, preferences, and pain points.
- Collaborate with other stakeholders to ensure a consistent and cohesive User Experience and the successful implementation of UX designs across digital platforms.
- Advocate for the importance of User Experience within the organisation, influencing stakeholders to prioritise user-centered design principles in decision-making processes.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on UX, providing guidance and support to the Digital team on UX best practices, tools, and techniques.
- Develop business cases, proposals and procurement plans in order to manage UX related investments.
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in human-Computer Interaction, Design, Psychology, or related field.
- Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies, including design thinking, user research, prototyping, and usability testing.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, or similar is desirable.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate design concepts and rationale to stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate user insights into actionable design solutions.
- Experience working in Agile development environments is a plus.
