- Qualifications in a relevant engineering design discipline such as Human Factors, or User Experience (UX)
- Experience in a similar role (preferably within the defence industry)
- Experience in conducting end user needs analyses, requirements elicitation and User Interface design and test activities.
- Experience with performing customer briefings related to design rationale, issue resolution, and product test outcomes.
- Eligibility to gain an Australian NV-1 security clearance and ability to access/handle Export Controlled technology, data and information

AIR6500 will create a fully networked 'system of systems' that synchronises air and missile defence operations in joint and coalition environments, maximising situational awareness and enhancing the speed of decision making across the battlespace.Responsibilities:As the User Experience (UX) / Human Factors Design Engineer (Senior) you will be responsible for:
- Applying UX / Human Factors Engineering principles, methodologies, and technologies to the design of human-machine systems and products
- Interface with stakeholders from a range of engineering disciplines and the end user community to establish system design, operation, and training requirements and to ensure optimised human-machine interfaces
- Developing and implementing plans to test and evaluate developmental prototypes used in new products and processes
- Identifying and analysing technological problems or risks, performing theoretical Human Factors investigations, and developing and implementing analysis plans
