The Utilities Department at CSL Behring is currently recruiting for a Utilities Operator to join our Broadmeadows site. The primary role of the Utilities Department is to provide a reliable source of Utilities [available and cGMP quality compliant] to Manufacturing Operations. We are seeking a focused and organised Utilities Operator who will ensure a continuous supply of services to the process areas from the relevant utility systems [Reagent Systems (corrosives & flammables), Ethanol Distillation Column, Centralised Special Waters Systems, Effluent Treatment Plants & other Utilities where required].
Your responsibilities
Reporting to the Process Engineer Manager, you will:Operate the relevant systems listed above, to ensure continuity of all services to meet the requirements of the manufacturing process
Maintain the supply of chemicals to relevant Utilities areas across the site
Ensure the safe operation & isolation of relevant systems, in accordance with statutory OH&S procedures & site procedures
Co-ordinate the ordering, receipt, processing and sampling of bulk chemicals prior to release to the Manufacturing FacilitiesReport spills, defects or abnormalities in the plant and equipment to prevent hazardous situations developing
Advise the Process Engineer Manager and engineering staff of problems experienced with the plant and proposals to improve the efficient operation of plant and equipment
Your experience
Completed VCE or equivalent
Demonstrated experience in plant operation and/or maintenance, ideally in a large bulk storage or chemical processing facility
Sound mechanical aptitude
Knowledge of quality and hygiene requirements applying in pharmaceutical plants would be an advantage
Exposure to computerised maintenance management systems
