We currently have a number of opportunities within QLD, NSW and Victoria for both residentially based and FIFO workers (FIFO working 2:1). MPDT are seeking candidates with previous powerline vegetation control experience that can demonstrate competence and knowledge in the following areas:
- Implementing safe work practices
- Risk assessment
- Be both productivity and quality minded
- Take pride in your work
- Customer relationship management
- Be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance vehicles of tools and equipment
- Gain knowledge of contract specification and client's requirements
- MPDT have positions available for EWP Operators, Ground-based Chainsaw Operators and Tree Climbers
Full training will be provided but desirable qualifications include:
- Current National ESI Cert II
- Cert III in Arboriculture
- Chemical Application – Apply Chemicals under Supervision
- Level 2 Chainsaw
- High Risk EWP license
- Hold the industry standard OH&S white card (previously known as Green/Blue Card).
Note: Applicants must hold a current Car Licence as a minimum for Ground personnel and a MR Licence minimum for EWP and Machine operators.
The role
You will be an essential part of our tree trimming crews, safely operating specialised equipment to trim, remove and maintain trees and vegetation around powerlines.
You will join a dedicated team responsible for developing and carrying out vegetation management strategies, tree risk assessments and removal and pruning in line with contract clearance and regulations.
