Utility Officer

Our Lady of Mercy is a co-educational Catholic school from Kindergarten to Grade Six located in Deloraine with an enrolment of approximately 100 students.

The school is seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced Utility Officers who are able to demonstrate a commitment to the aims and philosophy of Catholic Education.

Utility Officer: 0.6 FTE

(days may be negotiated with applicant)

The successful applicant will be working in a collaborative team environment in the primary school to provide facilities that enhance the education environment of students.

To be eligible applicants require:

• Valid Working with Vulnerable People Registration (Tasmania)
• Experience in maintenance, gardens, grounds, and general cleaning
• Experience in WHS and manual handling practices
• Experience in organising and communicating with contractors/businesses
• Experience in coordinating and meeting compliance policy and procedures
• High-level interpersonal and organisational skills
• A willingness to work in a team environment

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and in accordance with the Tasmanian Catholic Education Single Enterprise Agreement 2018
