The UX Designer needs to understand business requirements, the product vision and any technical limitations when designing solutions. They are also responsible for gathering customer feedback and translating these into user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mock-ups and/or prototypes. Using agile methodology the UX Designer partners with product and engineering through the build/learn/iterate framework to continually enhance the product to solve customer pain points.
Responsibilities
Closely partner with assigned squad Product Managers, Tech leads and UI lead to plan and deliver on their roadmaps, having a clear understanding of the product vision and business objectives.
User Research – collaborate closely with PMs to conceive user research. Conduct research using relevant methodology such as interviews, focus groups, surveys to inform design and product roadmap. Use a pre- defined approach to document the output of the research.
Voice of Customer – leverage all available means, from existing customer insight channels (sales, on-boarding, customer support) as well as user research to design product solutions that are useful, usable and delightful to our customers. Be the voice of the customer throughout product design discussions.
Facilitation - lead or help facilitate white-boarding sessions, workshops and design jams with multidisciplinary teams during product ideation.
UX artefacts – express your product thinking through Information Architecture, user journeys, personas, wireframes and interactive prototypes. Design and develop intuitive experiences that can be mapped directly to our customer needs. Optimise for a wide range of devices and interfaces.
Delivery – uses agile best practices to ensure squad has a clear understanding of the user experience and design, delivering artefacts that align with product requirements and ones that can be used by engineering.
Actively work with designers across squads to ensure there is alignment in the customer journey/ experience where relevant; create transparency into design backlog, the progress being made and to identify/ manage dependencies as well as risk.
Contribute to, and helps shape, our Design System (HXUI) to establish consistent design aesthetics throughout the product.

Educate stakeholders about research principles and the process of driving the integration of UX research data into everyday activities.

Knowledge & Experience Required:
3+ years experience designing complex solutions for complete digital environments
A solid grasp of user-centred design and design thinking, planning and conducting user research, user testing, rapid prototyping, and heuristic analysis
Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas and solutions
Experience using UX design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design
Proficient in standard UX software such as Sketch, Axure, InVision, UXPin, Balsamiq, Zeplin or a similar tool
Highly proficient in wireframing and prototyping
Has an appreciation of web technologies: HTML, CSS, and browser capabilities
Up-to-date with the latest UX trends, techniques and technologies
Tertiary qualification in user interaction, user experience, visual design and/or software development or related field
