We sell a wide range of industrial, automotive, wine, home, and recreational goods across Australia. We are currently seeking an experienced UX/UI Designer to join our team on a full-time basis.
You will bring a deep understanding of UX and UI design to the team and be able to implement and iterate on a wide variety of UX/UI solutions. As a UX/UI Designer, you’ll work side-by-side with our product, technology and business leaders to create meaningful value for all of Gray’s customers. In this role, you will be responsible for:
• Maintain a deep understanding of Gray’s user’s needs and behaviours.
• Create information architecture diagrams or sitemaps, personas, and storyboards.
• Create high/low fidelity wireframes and prototypes along with a wide range of UX/UI assets and deliverables.
• Collaborate closely with developers and other relevant stakeholders to ensure feasible and accurate implementation.
• Plan and conduct user research and/or usability testing, analyse the results and implement improvements.
• Maintain website and mobile application design guidelines.
• Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders, incorporating feedback.
We’re looking for someone who has:
• 3+ years’ experience in UX/UI Design experience. Preference given to candidates with experience designing solutions for complete digital environments in the online retail and marketplace space.
• A strong portfolio of work across both responsive web and native application design, with strong understanding of mobile first design philosophies.
• Proficiency in wireframing, prototyping, interaction and UI design.
• Ability to conduct and analyse user research and usability testing for insights.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with various stakeholders, including cross-functional teams.
• Expert knowledge of modern design and collaboration software tools (Figma, Miro, Jira, MS 360, Confluence, Google suite, etc) and the willingness to adopt new tools as needed.
• Proficiency in maintaining and working with complex design/component libraries.
