The Maintenance Team Member’s role is to ensure the property is kept to a standard which will provide a positive and welcoming experience for clients, workers, and visitors. The primary focus is to develop and update facilities under direction of the site manager to create a safe, tidy, and aesthetically pleasing environment.
Key responsibilities:
Using a keen eye for detail and a desire for high standards, undertake general maintenance activities which will include small repairs to property, buildings and fixtures as directed by site manager
Apply leadership and initiative to co-ordinate professional trades to complete works as approved as directed by site manager
Always use appropriate personal protection equipment and conduct activities in a safe manner at all times, ensuring others involved in maintenance activity do the same
Keep children safe by always abiding by Salvation Army’s child safe policies and code of conduct
Qualifications and skills (desired/required):
Desirable to have experience in a similar role
Must have experience in building maintenance and repairs

In some states, this role is considered child-related and therefore may require a Working with Children Check/Working with Vulnerable People Check
As this role requires access to property and equipment, a Police Check is required
